I spent all day (8-6) as part of a nine professor group interviewing Korean candidates for Fulbright scholarships to the US.

I was overwhelmingly impressed with the quality, preparation, brains, and general togetherness of this group of people. All of them were fluent in English, many of them spoke without an accent. All were so accomplished at such a young age it is amazing. These are people with advanced academic interests in many different fields seeking either masters degrees or PhDs in the US.

It was enormously interesting to have this opportunity to speak to all of them, even if it did take all day. There was at least a good traditional Korean lunch in the middle, with all of the fixins'.
